The Calfornia
Department of Education has established a website—TEACH
California—which answers many questions about becoming

New NCLB Requirements for Multiple Subject Credential holders:
Multiple subject credential holders wishing to teach in the
middle school must get an add-on single subject credential
in science OR an added authorization in general science to
meet the NCLB requirements. For most MSC holders, it is more
reasonable to get the added subject matter authorization.
